SchoolWalkAndRideTimes.com is a small, independently run site. This page explains what we collect, what we don't, and why.

Address lookup

We never share your address or exact coordinates with anyone — and we never even see them ourselves. When you enter an address to find nearby schools, it's converted to a small neighborhood area (roughly a few blocks across) in your own browser, and only that neighborhood identifier is ever sent to us.

Bus time reports

Bus time reports can be submitted anonymously, no account required. We rate-limit submissions using a salted, one-way hash of your IP address, which exists only to prevent spam and is automatically discarded after 30 days. Reports themselves (neighborhood identifier, school, and reported minutes) are kept to compute the crowd-reported statistics shown on the site.

Advertising

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't build advertising profiles beyond what Google's own ad platform does independently. We don't require an account to use the site's core features.
